Sales Engineer, North America
SoftIron is looking to add a storage specialist to the US Sales Engineering team. This role will work with prospects and customers to help position, validate and sell SoftIron’s Hyperdrive Storage offering. You will be responsible for pre-sales support of SoftIron products, including proof of concepts, trials, and initial product deployment with customers.
HyperDrive is a Ceph-based software-defined storage offering. The storage specialist will act as a subject-matter expert for both HyperDrive, SDS, and Ceph.
You will be expected to design and deliver effective product demonstrations to customers, along with managing and participating in proofs-of-concept with customers. As a Sales Engineer, you will also maintain the relationship with the technical teams within the customer.
Part of the role is identifying and communicating customer needs back to product management in order to help with future directions of HyperDrive.
This role allows for a home-based, flexible, self-managed schedule that includes as much as 40-60% travel, primarily throughout North America.
